Exemplary programs have five elements common to all effective science education programs. One of those elements is described as "inquiry-centered science curriculum units that have gone through a research and review process." The curriculum materials ASSET usesin its program meet this criterion. Further, these materials are aligned with the National Science Education Standards (NSES) and PA science standards.
