ASSET Teacher Leader Services

  • ASSET Leadership Academy
    A three-year pathway designed to encourage teacher leadership through a collaborative culture, which is focused on learning and improved practice that results in student achievement and efficacy. Teachers, along with district administrators, closely examine their school culture, how it supports teacher professional development and how it affects student achievement. This will be supported through the development of Professional Learning Communities within their school.
  • Curriculum Alignment Planning Service
    2-day planning session to examine the alignment of a school districts science curriculum, identify instructional gaps and suggest curricular adjustments.

Vision Conference

For school district and community leaders, such as curriculum coordinators, principals, lead teachers, board members or higher education partners. This 1-day conference creates a long-term vision for science education in their school or district. Vision Conferences may be customized to fit school district needs.

Strategic Planning Institute

This introductory seminar helps prepare and educate leaders to implement research-based science for all students within their district. It follows the model of science education reform used by the National Science Resources Center.

Inquiry Science Endorsement

Through partnerships with local universities, pre-service teachers are prepared to effectively instruct inquiry-based science. Participants achieve proficiency in engaging in scientific inquiry, designing and implementing a lesson, applying knowledge of science content and developing a community of science learners.
