ASSET Grows Better Teachers.

Professional Development (PD) Sessions are facilitated by ASSET Resources Teachers and professional development facilitators specializing in each of the science disciplines.

Why ASSET Professional Development Succeeds.

  • Teachers learn from their peers.
  • PD is directly related to standards-based curriculum.
  • Sessions incorporate research-based effective classroom practices.
  • Teachers experience firsthand what students will experience.
  • Facilitators model inquiry-based teaching and learning.
  • Sessions include time for reflection and meaning making.
  • Program cultivates a pathway from classroom teacher to teach leader to PD facilitator or resource teacher.
