One Of The Nation’s Most Coveted Grants.

In 2010, the U.S. Department of Education launched its Investing in Innovation (i3) grant competition to provide $650 million in grants to applicants with a record of innovative practices for advancing student achievement and attainment.

ASSET was one of only 49 recipients to receive this prestigious i3 grant. With it, we're working to expand upon and validate our education improvement model through:

  • The establishment of Regional Professional Development Centers and Satellite Sites to provide Pennsylvania teachers with regional access to ASSET's full spectrum of professional development.
  • A five-year Advanced Professional Development Program that provides 450 teachers with higher-level professional development. School district applications were required for consideration, with priority given to rural and high-needs schools.
