Governor Rendell Visits Schools in Southwest PA to Discuss Asset Teaching Model
HARRISBURG – Governor Edward G. Rendell will visit two schools in southwestern Pennsylvania on Thursday, March 30, and participate in a roundtable discussion with teachers, administrators and students about the successes and challenges of using the ASSET teaching model. The model (Achieving Student Success through Excellence in Teaching) is currently used by 48 school districts in Pennsylvania.
The first event will take place at 11 a.m. at the Haine Elementary School, 1516 Haine School Rd., Cranberry Township. The second event will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the South Allegheny Elementary School, 1707 Washington Blvd., Port Vue.
