ASSET offers flexible and customizable membership plans for school districts, private and charter schools to participate in a comprehensive program of science education reform.

Membership Levels

Entry
Pilot the ASSET program.

Implement one hands-on science module in at least one grade or building
Districts commit to 100% professional development (PD) on an annual basis, enabling every participating teacher to engage in module PD

Growth
Map out your district’s growth.

Develop a longer-term implementation plan for introducing multiple hands-on science modules and ongoing PD for teachers

Districts commit to 50% PD on an annual basis, which allows for teacher turnover and higher level PD while continuing to grow the program

Sustaining
Optimize your program.

Once growth is achieved, establish an annual implementation plan for program enhancement through innovative materials and higher level
PD for teachers

Districts commit to 20% PD on an annual basis, which allows for teacher turnover and higher level PD while sustaining the program

Apollo-Ridge School District in Armstrong County already had a successful hands-on, standards-based science curriculum. But Anne Simmons, Ed.D., Director of Curriculum and Assessment at Apollo-Ridge, explains why her school made the switch to ASSET.
