Volunteer Opportunities Provide Win-Win Partnerships

Provide a helping hand in improving science and math education in Pennsylvania by volunteering in ASSET’s Materials Support Center (MSC).

The MSC delivers and refurbishes more than 12,000 hands-on science modules each year, and volunteers are integral in helping ASSET keep module rental fees affordable for school districts.

Tasks for volunteers may include cleaning, sorting, bagging and packing materials; however, each volunteer experience is tailored to individual or group needs and abilities.

ASSET member districts receive a discount on module rental fees for every 20 hours

of volunteer work in the MSC provided by district staff, parents or community members.

Annually, volunteers from across the region have donated more than an estimated 4,000 hours of work in ASSET’s Materials Support Center.

*Due to the warehouse setting, volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
