ASSET Resource Teachers

Position Overview

This position is accountable for developing and presenting professional training activities and other supportive activitites to teachers in the ASSET and Science: It's Elementary programs to increase their proficiency in the teaching of science.

The primary focus of the incumbent is to provide training experiences for teachers of science to expand their knowledge of science, display the inquiry approach of instruction, be able to assess more readily what they have learned and to gain confidence and be comfortable in the teaching of scientific principles.
