ASSET Content Specialists

Position Overview

This position is accountable for developing and presenting professional training activities and other supportive activities to teachers in the ASSET and Science: It’s Elementary programs to increase their proficiency in the teaching of science.

The primary focus of the content specialist is to facilitate training experiences for elementary and middle school teachers of science to broaden and deepen their content knowledge and understanding of science, model the inquiry approach of instruction and to instill and build confidence and comfort in the teaching of scientific concepts and scientific inquiry.
